Medway Class

Welcome to Medway Class, we are a mixed aged class of Year 1 and Year 2 children. We love learning and believe in trying our best, whilst also having lots of fun! We love learning through play and have lots of opportunities to challenge ourselves and demonstrate becoming independent and confident learners. We love to explore and enjoy having our own outside area to play and learn in. Our class teacher is Miss Gallego and our teaching assistants are Mrs Glover and Miss Peto. 

Our Timetable

We have two PE sessions a week and these take place on a Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. Our Forest School sessions take place on a Wednesday afternoon, until the 18th October. 

Class Charter

We earn marbles for our class jar by demonstrating our Christian Values of Courage, Compassion, Respect and Responsibility. We enjoy working collaboratively as we earn whole class rewards, and love being part of the Medway Class Team!

Home Learning

We send home alternate Maths or Phonics home learning and these activities recap and consolidate our learning from the week. Weekly spellings are also sent home, which match the sounds taught in phonics sessions that week (6 words) and contain tricky words for your child's year group (4 words). Your child also has access to Sumdog and Times Tables Rockstars (Year 2 only) which can be found in your child's homework book. We always love to see how your child has got on with their home learning task, so please do upload photos or videos onto Tapestry so that we can celebrate their hard work.
