Arun, Adur and Rother Butser Farm Trip
On Wednesday, Key stage 2 stepped back in time when they visited Butser Ancient Farm. We were immersed into Stone Age life, completing activities which would have been part of their daily lives.
We got our hands stuck in when making clunch to build the walls of a stone age house and then created pinch pots out of clay to use as drinking cups. In addition, we practiced the technique of chalk carving using flint as a tool, and chlorophyll from grass as paint.
This trip was a fantastic start to our 'Digging up the past' topic and we are all excited to learn more about life in the Stone Age.
