Last Thursday night saw the culmination of the Weald Book Awards. Our locality group of schools met together to discuss 6 books and then vote for their favourite. Earlier this term they went to The Weald and were joined by
Chris Bradford the author of The Young Samurai who went on to win The Weald Book Award. Well done to Zoe, Georgie, Preston, Claudia, Bethan, Ethel and Darcy who shared some very well written letters that had written in response to ‘Hero on a Bicycle’ by Shirley Hughes. It was quite emotional listening to them.
Thank you to Mrs Taylor, Mrs Richmond and Mrs Braun for all their support and encouragement with this group.
