On Thursday, our worship was full of ‘sciencey’ fun when Gooey Stuey from Fizzpop Science came to see us. We found out all about friction and its effects on objects around us. We removed tablecloths from tables without disturbing a single plate or cup, we experimented with friction using giant hands and one of us even got transported around the hall on a hovercraft powered by a giant’s hairdryer! Gooey Stuey is offering children in years 1-6 the chance to experience even more fun science activities with an after school club on a Friday from 3.10pm-4-10pm. This will be a five week programme initially from the 9th November and, if successful, we hope to be able to offer it again. Do take a look at the information coming home in book bags - it would be great to see this become a successful club at Slinfold.
