Hamble and Medway were surprised to find that an alien spacecraft had crashed into the school field on Tuesday morning. Then children then took it upon themselves to hunt for clues around the environmental area. After finding footprints, slime and pants they all came to the same conclusion; “I think the aliens have come to steal everybody’s underwear! Just like that book. We have to tell everyone to hide their pants!” Since then, the children have been busy drawing posters and writing descriptions to help warn others. So keep an eye out this weekend!
This week we have had the RSPB in to work with the children. The team worked with all the classes in the Environmental area observing birds and finding out about wildlife in Slinfold.
"Yesterday we put our wellies on then our binoculars! And headed off the environmental area. We split into 3 groups called the Eagles, the Kestrels and the Treaters. We watched the birds and saw a fox run with a fox footprint in it. We also saw fox poo! We didn’t see a squirrel but we saw squirrel nibbling on an acorn. In the leaves, we saw a hedgehog hole and with our binoculars we looked in and saw a hedgehog. We saw a Robin really close up but then it flew away. We really enjoyed it! Thank you RSPB, we learnt so much!"
