Congratulations on this half term's Golden Leaf winners! In Hamble class , in Medway Nualabelle and Thomas, in Arun Lulu and Alex, in Adur Samuel and Bella and finally in Rother Olivia and Greta. Well Done to them all; they all have worked incredibly hard over the last half term.
This week on Thursday Year 4 will be sleeping over at Lodge Hill for a night. They will be sleeping without their parents which is exciting but scary. Year 4 will be doing a bunch of different and fun activities, including Tunnelling, Low Ropes, A Night walk and many more fun activities. They will have an amazing time and will enjoy themselves lots as well as missing their parents.
Scarlett (Year 6) & the help of Emily (Year 4) who will be going to Lodge Hill herself. We have our Slinfold School summer fair coming up on the 21st May 2017. It will be a beach-themed event including a chocolate tombola, a bouncy castle and many more!
On Friday, Slinfold School took part in Red Nose Day. Some of the children in Rother Class enjoyed making bookmarks and booklets. The whole school enjoyed wearing red for £1, selling red noses, taking part in a joke competition and selling yummy red themed cakes and cookies. These were very yummy! Many thanks to School Council and Miss Phibbs who organised this event. A great day was had wearing red and taking part in Red Nose Day. Did you take part in Red Nose Day? Even just by buying a red nose?
RED NOSE DAY! On the 17th March 2017, the year 5s and 6s went to the Horsham Capitol Theatre to watch a performance of Gangsta Granny. All the children enjoyed it and found the performance very funny and entertaining to see. Thank you to the P.T.A for paying for the visit and the amazing play!
On Thursday 2nd March Slinfold Primary School took part in World Book Day. Everyone had a great day dressing up as a book character and designing a new book cover for a book and designing a book token for the National Book Token competition being held all over England.
This weeks achievement awards were awarded to:
Max and Autumn from Hamble class, from Medway class were Riana and Thomas P, from Arun class were Rafe and Bea, from Adur were Bella and Emily and from Rother were Freddie P and Millie S. On Tuesday the 28th of February, some members of year 6 took part in the Weald Book Awards. Every pupil doing the Weald Book Awards got a prize.
The winning trailer was our one that was made by Scarlett B, Thomas W, Ryan Mc, Oscar B-W, Beth C and Molly w who were involved with the trailer.
On Thursday, Brighton and Hove City Mission came in to give us a flash through the Bible starting with God's creation and following onto where we are here today. Many thanks to Emma, Lloyd and Kerry who ran the session. |
