What an exciting and busy musical end of term. In early December, our year 6 have been out and about singing in the community. The first event was to sing at Slinfold Golf Club's Christmas craft event where they entertained 'shoppers' and stall holders and continued their joy singing to the residents and staff at Wellcross Grange Nursing Home. They brightened everyone's day brilliantly and Mrs Hayers was extremely proud of the children when they mingled and chatted with the residents. Last week saw the children in Reception, years 1, 2 and 3 acting and singing to packed audiences for their Christmas Nativity and on Monday this week the Pre-School sang their hearts out to many Christmas songs with great gusto! We also saw our KS2 production of Shakespeare Rocks with outstanding performances from Amy K and Thomas B, singing solos and of course the infamous Will Shakespeare; Wilfie. All the children performed brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We should be very proud of all our singing achievements at Slinfold. Last but not least, well done to all the children singing in the Church this morning for our end of term service and to the school orchestra for making their debut. A big thank you has to go to Mrs Hayers for all her hard work in organising all the Christmas Productions for the school. Thank you to all the staff involved, who have also been working tirelessly to make the last few weeks of the term really enjoyable for all the children. Also thank you to the parents for attending our various performances, rehearsing lines and songs at home and supporting your children so well.
