Clubs and extra-curricular activities
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These vary from term to term and have included football, netball, running, cookery, orchestra, cross country, recorder, Italian, dance, karate, table tennis, board games, computing art and choir. Most clubs happen after school. Our children participate in competitive matches and tournaments with other locality schools in athletics, football, cricket, netball, hockey and cross country.
There are opportunities to take part in WSCC organised music lessons, which include instruments such as violin, guitar, flute and keyboard.
Our Year 6 children can also take part in WSCC’s Safer Cycling scheme.
We further enrich our children’s learning through educational visits. Visits range from local trips, such as to St Leonard’s Forest, our village high street, The Sealife Centre Brighton and Chichester Planetarium, to trips to London such as visiting Hampton Court Palace and the Science Museum.
A five-day residential trip to Little Canada PGL on the Isle of Wight with Years 5 and 6 takes place every two years and a two day, one night stay for our Year 4 children takes place in the autumn term at Lodge Hill, Pulborough.
