Poppies are being sold at the moment which cost 50p each and this year we will be giving out free stickers with the poppies. At the moment they arn't very popular because it has only just started. It will be going on until the first Friday after half term and we would like everyone to by a poppy to remember the solders who gave their lives for our country. Don't worry if you don't buy one but we would like everyone to take part.
Yesterday we had the most amazing enrichment that was organised by Mrs Taylor. It was a very exciting morning as we had Chef David come into rother and show rother and adur class how to make pasta salads and deserts. Also Arun class made bird feeders and Medway and Hamble made pumpkin soup. We had a really fantastic morning.
Thankyou Mrs Taylor
From 1pm-3:30pm tomorrow afternoon all classes are inviting all relatives interested to come in and look at all fantastic work that they have done. Everyone will be on their best behaviour so tomorrow afternoon will go pleasantly.
We are having a problem with scooters being put in the bike shed and blocking out the bikes. We have thought of buying some scooter storage so they can't fill up the bike shed. We ask for parents and children to not put their scooters in the bike shed because it is made for bikes. You will need to put the scooters just outside the shed entrance but not blocking it.
School Council have been discusing a school shop were you can by anything you would need for school, such as: pencils, rulers, water bottles and pencil cases. It hasn't been decided yet but we are thinking about it. If the shop does happen it will be run by the older school councillors. We will let you know what we are doing with the shop when it is decided.
As you know, the Harvest Festival is coming up soon, and inside the the entrance hall is a Harvest Table. You can bring in your own food, which we will send to people that are less fortunate than we are. Please bring in your items of food which we will also send to the Festival in the church. That will be held on the 9th October at 2pm.
Recently one of the TAs Mrs Petros finished the two lovely mosaics by the field in the quiet area. The winner of the competion, Henry B helped Mrs Petros with the picture of the cross on a hill in front of the sun. The five children from Hamble class created excellent pictures that were merged into one.
Well done Mrs Petros. We love the mosaics.
